Alain typeface
Alain is a typeface inspired by the theories of the french sociologist Alain Ehrenberg, who debated the desperation of the individual in between the necessity of autonomy and of social integration. Alain is developed from the two different handwritings of its designer Frauke Cordes, who uses a light italic handwriting for personal notes and a to quick readability adjusted capital handwriting for official purposes. The font combines these two extremes to a harmonic but still edgy appearance and attitude .
The polemic pamphlet and specimen in form of a poster booklet named “DEMOVERSION OF A HEART ATTACK” is dedicated to a ten seconds experience at Hauptbahnhof Süd Hamburg with rocklegend Peter Doherty.
