In rural Taiwan, being called a good wife seems to be the highest compliment a woman can receive.Whether or not a woman can be called a good wife depends on how well she can serve her husband and family.They take on not only housework but also farm work to supplement the family income, but their work is often neglected by others.Why are women willing to serve their families in silence? This work documents the figures of these rural women under the influence of the family culture.
